Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you teach?

I teach students ages 6 to 25. Younger students are welcome to start when they are able to sit through a full 30-minute session with focus.

Do you offer in-person or online lessons?

Both! Students can choose between online (Zoom) or in-person lessons depending on what works best for their schedule and comfort level.

What experience do I need to start?

None at all. I teach complete beginners through intermediate and early advanced students. We’ll build a curriculum that fits your pace and goals.

What do I need for online lessons?

A stable internet connection, a device with a webcam, and access to a piano or keyboard are the basics. I can help you get set up if you’re new to remote learning!

Can parents sit in on lessons?

Absolutely. I welcome parent involvement, especially for younger students. It helps with practice routines and building confidence.

What styles of music do you teach?

I tailor lessons based on student interests, but I often cover classical, pop, and foundational technique. I also incorporate music theory and improvisation.

How do I pay for lessons?

All payment details are listed on the Lesson Policy page. Payments are made monthly via Zelle.

What happens if I miss a lesson?

Please see the cancellation policy for full details. I offer make-up lessons with sufficient notice.
